Motown imprint Black Forum offers up a colored vinyl reissue of Black Spirits Festival Of New Black Poets In America, a collection of spoken word performances originally recorded at Harlem, New York's iconic Apollo Theater. Black Spirits Festival Of New Black Poets In America features contributions from Imamu Amiri Baraka (LeRoi Jones), The Original Last Poets, Stanley Crouch, Norman Jordan and more. The 28-track spoken word project features six poems from Kali Grosvenor and more contributions from David Henderson, Larry Neal, Amus Moore and Clarence Major, among others. The collection was produced by Woodie King Jr., who also worked on Imamu Amiri Baraka's 1972 album It's Nation Time – African Visionary Music, which was also released through Black Forum.
