November 2022 sees iconic punk band Bad Brains' fifth album Rise reissued on vinyl for the first time via The Control Group. Originally issued by Epic Records in August 1993, Rise served as Bad Brains' major label debut, and their follow-up to 1989's Quickness. With unprecedented speed and precision, Bad Brains took the Washington, DC music scene by storm and quickly became the most influential band in American punk history. They created music that was about closing the racial divide and maintaining a positive mental attitude (PMA). This concept of PMA continues to inspire fans to this day.
